OK… And we’re back! Due to the holidays, vacation, and the girlfriend’s birthday which is working out to be bigger than the holidays AND vacation,  I’m not going to lie… I got a little side tracked. Family, friends, dogs, traveling, blah!  But it’s cool. I’m back. I’m done goofing off (HA!) and hope/really eff’n NEED to get some work done. But before I forget… Happy 2012 everyone. Hope it’s been treating you all well. 2012 is going to be awesome/a big deal/loaded with surprises/amazing/full of craziness. Today I feel as if I am doing just that… Live’n Large. I had had the most awesome sandwich and cup of coffee for breakfast… It’s finally COLD outside… I’m off tomorrow… going to be in NJ with the lady and her fam… got my Holiday bonus from the day job… like I said… Large.

Ok. So here is the previously posted pencil sharpener (… robot …) in ACTION! Go! Go!

Now I have to find a wind-up Lizard for him to fight… and build a tiny city for them to rampage through… ech. There goes my vacation!

I’m not big into Christmas… Yea, I’m one of those guys … BUT I did get a pretty rad present the other day. This little robot, who is also a pencil sharpener! As an artist you can never have too many pencil sharpeners and as a nerd you can never have too many robots. The hole where the wind-up key goes is where you stick the pencil. The shavings get collected in his head… his HEAD!!! Which OPENS so you can empty them! He can carry a pencil too. If you just want to wind him up, you can use the key and then he stomps around. All together a pretty nifty little pencil sharpener.

I realize this simplicity of this is… well … pretty simple. I think I’m into it mostly because it reminds me of the prizes you used to get out of cereal boxes…(do prizes even come in cereal any more?) I would have fought my brother for ownership of stuff like this as a kid, and then taken it to school to show it off. Being that my brother doesn’t give a crap about stuff like this these days and I don’t go to school… I’m showing you guys… so enjoy.

This is about all I have managed to scratch out in the last few weeks. Between traveling for Thanksgiving, the madness at my day job and my dog being sick… this is it. I drew this up as a ‘Thank You’ to my girlfriend’s step-mom. She lives in VT and she works for one of the cheese companies up there. The motto ‘It’s Just Cheese!’ is her way of keeping things in perspective and remembering not to sweat the small stuff… Here’s to hoping she likes it and here’s to you all for letting me share!
